Degola doesn’t track you.
There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We don’t collect personal data: not on the website, not in the Apple TV app, not in the iOS app. Your predictions and preferences stay on your own device until you tap Share: then your predictions (no name, account, IP address or device data) are stored in Degola’s database so the short link can work. We don’t sell or share data with anyone.
What we collect
Nothing about you. Degola doesn’t ask you to sign up or log in, so we have no accounts, names, email addresses or user profiles. We don’t show ads, we don’t use analytics or tracking tools, we don’t load third-party scripts, and Degola doesn’t set cookies. The only thing Degola stores is the string of predictions you share when you tap Share (see “Share links”), with no connection to you.
What is stored on your device
To remember how you left the simulator, the website uses your browser’s local storage (localStorage). This data stays in your browser. Your predictions leave your device only if you tap Share (see “Share links”); nothing else is ever sent to anyone. It consists of:
- your interface language;
- the last league you viewed;
- your score predictions for each league, and which of them were suggested by Degola’s own simulation;
- whether you dismissed the first-visit tip;
- whether the “All rounds” panel is open;
- whether the title and relegation chance columns are shown.
You can erase everything at any time with your browser’s site-data controls, or erase just your predictions with the “Clear predictions” button.
Live results and hosting
To show the latest scores, the page asks a small service run by the developer on Cloudflare (a Worker) for recent final scores in the six leagues. The reply contains only match results, no personal data, and the request carries nothing about you beyond what any internet request reveals. The Worker’s code doesn’t log or store requests or visitor data. It is the Worker, not you, that fetches results from ESPN’s public data feed: your device never connects to ESPN.
The website and the Worker run on Cloudflare. As our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare processes standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser and time of request) to deliver, secure and cache the service, under its own privacy terms. Degola does not use this data to identify you.
Share links
When you tap Share, Degola builds a link with your predictions encoded after the # (the URL “fragment”) and, to create a short link (degola.com.br/s/…), sends just that string of predictions (the league and the scores you filled in) to Degola’s database on Cloudflare. No name, no account, and Degola does not keep your IP address or device data: what is saved is only a short code, the string of predictions and the creation date. As with any request, Cloudflare processes the technical data described above, but Degola does not combine it with the predictions.
Identical predictions always give the same short link. Stored predictions are kept for up to 2 years and then deleted automatically. Anyone with the link can see the predictions, so share it only with people you want to. If the service is unavailable or slow, Degola uses the long link instead, with the predictions in the fragment (browsers don’t send that part to servers). The app you use to send the link has its own privacy practices.
Apple TV and iOS apps
The Degola apps for Apple TV and iOS, from the same developer, work the same way: no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no data shared with third parties. Predictions and preferences are stored only on the device until you share. The apps fetch the same public results feed from the same Worker; the request carries no personal data beyond what any network connection inherently reveals, such as your IP address to the server operator (Cloudflare). The share screen shows a QR code and a link to degola.com.br; to create the short link, the apps send the predictions to the same service, and the same rules as in “Share links” above apply (if the service is unavailable, they use the long link).
Children
Degola is not directed at children and does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Your rights (LGPD and GDPR)
Because Degola doesn’t collect personal data, there is nothing on our side to access, correct, delete or export. The predictions stored for short links are anonymous: they carry no name, account or any identifier of you, so we cannot tell which ones are yours, and they are deleted automatically after up to 2 years. Still, if you are in Brazil (LGPD, Law 13,709/2018) or in the European Economic Area (the EU GDPR), the law gives you rights over your personal data, such as confirmation of processing, access, correction, deletion, portability and objection, as well as the right to complain to a data protection authority (in Brazil, the ANPD; in Europe, the authority in your country). What stays only in your browser or device is under your control and can be erased at any time (see above). Questions about the technical data processed by Cloudflare are best directed to Cloudflare.
